Robert McCord
Robert McCord is the Hazard Mitigation Branch Chief for the Mitigation Division in FEMA Region IX. The Hazard Mitigation Branch is responsible for the three Mitigation grant program; the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP), Pre Disaster Mitigation (PDM), and the Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grant programs. These programs provide State, Territories, Tribal and local governments grant funds to reduce the impacts from future natural hazard events. Prior to serving in this position Mr. McCord was the Senior Mitigation Specialist in the Hazard Mitigation Assistance Branch. He began his FEMA career prior to the start of the PDM program in 2001 and has been with the Mitigation Division since that time. Throughout that time he has developed strong relationships with the Region IX States, Territories, Tribes and other mitigation partners.
