Jim Lehrer

Jim Lehrer is the former executive editor and news anchor for the PBS NewsHour. Lehrer joined the National Public Affairs Center for Television (NPACT) as a correspondent, which led to an Emmy-winning collaboration with Robert MacNeil for their continuous live coverage of the Watergate scandal. In addition to numerous awards for journalism, including the 1999 National Humanities Medal presented by President Bill Clinton, Lehrer has been inducted into the Television Hall of Fame. He has also served as moderator for twelve presidential debates.
