Francesca Dego is quickly developing into one of the most sought after young violinists on the international scene. Signed since 2012 by Deutsche Grammophon, her début album of Paganini’s 24 Caprices, recorded on the ex-Ricci Guarneri del Gesù instrument, received high critical acclaim. The final volume of her complete recording of Beethoven’s Violin Sonatas was released in October 2015. Born in Lecco in 1989, Francesca gave her concerto début in California at the age of 7 performing Bach, in Italy aged 14 with the Beethoven Concerto and at 15 she performed the Brahms concerto at Milan's Sala Verdi conducted by György Györiványi Ráth and Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante at Tel Aviv Opera House with Shlomo Mintz. Francesca is winner of numerous national and International Competitions, and in 2008 garnered widespread attention for being the first Italian female prizewinner of the renowned “Paganini Competition” in Genoa since 1961.
