Amy Banks, M.D.


Dr. Amy Banks graduated magna cum laude from Tufts University, earned her medical degree at Georgetown University and continued her psychiatric training at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center. Amy was an instructor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and is now the director of Advanced Training at the Jean Baker Miller Training Institute at the Wellesley Centers for Women. She has a private practice in Lexington, Massachusetts, which specializes in relational psychopharmacology and therapy for people who suffer from chronic disconnection. She has devoted her career to understanding the neurobiology of relationships and most recently has been exploring the field of energy psychology as a way to understand how and why connections heal. She is the author of “Four Ways to Click: Rewire Your Brain for Stronger, More Rewarding Relationships.”
