My role at Sybenetix is to take a systematic, evidence-based approach to identifying the key behaviours in expert investment decision makers that contribute to investment returns. Having identified those behaviours via our in-depth analytics my role is to ensure the most uptodate knowledge garnered from the breadth of the behavioural finance, neuroscience, psychology and psychophysiology is used to identify the most impactful, evidence-based interventions to further enhance elite performance and reputational excellence in this field.
Recent research includes a novel and double award winning look into loss aversion and emotion regulation choice using mobile heart rate variability monitors with a team of fund managers in a leading european hedge fund investment house. We continue to build on this work, and to draw on the wealth of scientific knowledge in the economic, psychology, neuroscience and biological literature, to apply it to diagnose the causes and management of cognitive bias
