Carlos Edmar Pereira is the CEO of Livox, a company focused on creating innovative solutions for people with disabilities. Millions of people with disabilities can't speak, including 15 million just in Brazil. People with disabilities are the group with the highest risk of school exclusion. Most will never learn how to read, write or do complex concepts like Math. Carlos is the father of 8-year-old Clara who, due to a medical mistake during her mother’s labor, has Cerebral Palsy. Since Clara’s birth, Carlos has looked for alternatives to help her and others with disabilities by creating a more equitable society. Livox, the app he created, is the evolution of alternative communication. Livox adjusts itself according to the user's disability and enables them to do much more than just speaking – through a tablet. Livox has already reached 15,000 people with disabilities in Brazil and is ready for the Spanish and English speaking markets.
