Sam Paredes
For 18 years, Sam Paredes has been the Executive Director of Gun Owners of California (GOC) and a member over 35 years. GOC is a non-profit lobbying organization formed to protect and preserve Second Amendment rights in California. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Gun Owners of America & is Treasurer of Gun Owners Foundation. Sam is a registered lobbyist, has testified in hundreds of legislative committee hearings and has advocated on behalf of the gun community before the California Fish & Game Commission, the Department of Fish & Wildlife, and the Department of Justice. He served in the Trade & Commerce Agency under California Governors George Deukmejian and Pete Wilson and is frequently interviewed by news agencies as an expert on California gun laws. Sam co-hosts a twice-weekly radio show in Sacramento titled “Just Guns” on Money 105.5 FM. Sam is a certified firearms instructor, an avid outdoorsman & enjoys all shooting sports, hunting, fishing, golfing & traveling.
