Ray Bellamy
Ray Bellamy, The first black football player to sign with the University of Miami and one of the first to play college football in the Deep South. After his college career, Bellamy went into coaching high school football. His coaching career stretched from Miami-Gulliver Prep and Tavernier-Coral Shores, to South Carolina before he would become a college coach at Fort Valley (Ga.) and South Carolina State. Bellamy is now an academic adviser at Florida A&M University.
