Hank Wesselman
Dr. Hank Wesselman, PhD., holds advanced degrees in Anthropology and Zoology from UC Berkeley and the University of Colorado at Boulder. He served in the US Peace Corps, living among people of the Yoruba Tribe in Western Nigeria in the 1960s, where he first became interested in indigenous spiritual traditions. Since 1971, he has conducted research with an international group of scientists, exploring eastern Africa's Great Rift Valley in search of answers to the mystery of human origins allowing him to spend much of his life living and working with traditional peoples, rarely, if ever, visited by outsiders. He is one of the primary investigators of the newly revealed human ancestor Ardipithecus ramidus (Ardi) who lived in Ethiopia between 4-6 million years ago. He has taught at universities around the world, from UC San Diego to colleges in Western Nigeria. His latest book [with Sandra Ingerman] is Awakening to the Spirit World: The Shamanic Path of Direct Revelation.
