Bob and Judy Fisher
Bob and Judy Fisher have written a wonderful little book called Life is a Gift: Inspiration from the Soon Departed, based on their interviews with the dying. Bob is Dr. Fisher to his students, as he is the President of Belmont University in Nashville Tennessee. He has also served as Vice President of Academic Affairs at Arkansas State University and was the Dean of the School of Business at Henderson State University. He is a Fulbright Scholar and serves in numerous volunteer capacities. As President of Belmont he worked to secure that school as the host for the 2008 Town Hall Presidential Debate, which garnered international attention, and which led to his selection that year as Tennessean of the Year. Judy Fisher conducted most of the interviews for Life is a Gift and is currently serving as coordinator of interior construction and exterior landscaping and lighting at Belmont. She also serves on several non-profit boards, most notably, the board of Alive Hospice.
