Melinda Kidder

Melinda Kidder is a private investigator and owner of Columbia Investigations in Columbia, Missouri. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Administration of Justice from University of Missouri, Kansas City, is a recipient of the Edward Tomich Memorial Award granted to a full-time, undergraduate senior majoring in Sociology who exemplifies the characteristics of spirit, commitment to human welfare, thirst for knowledge and personal growth (http://cas.umkc.edu/scholarships/EdwardTomich.shtm), as well as receiving Honors from Alpha Kappa Delta, the International Sociology Honor Society. Melinda has worked as a public safety officer, as a loss prevention detective for a major department, and has volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate and Guardian ad Litem in the Jackson County, Missouri Family Court to help child victims of abuse. In her spare time, she is a 4th Degree Black Belt Instructor and teaches martial arts, safety mentorship and leadership.
