Anthony Cortese, ScD, President & Co-founder (with Senator John Kerry & Teresa Heinz Kerry) of Second Nature, a nonprofit organization with a mission to make healthy, just, & sustainable action a foundation of all learning & practice in higher education. Anthony implores us to imagine a future where all generations achieve good health, economic security, social fairness & stability while restoring & sustaining the Earth's life support systems. That’s right – the earth is OUR life support system. This requires a new leadership and a new framework for higher education. Students today are demanding to learn about Sustainable Systems, and that educational institutions are Practicing Sustainability.
