Matthew and Terces Engelhart

Matthew and Terces Engelhart’s business ventures always aspire to shake up the existing paradigm. They began their seven-restaurant chain, Café Gratitude and Gracias Madre, as an experiment in Sacred Commerce and business as an opportunity to awaken. The couple also leads monthly workshops in Sacred Commerce, Being Abundant, and Relationship. They are the creators of “The Abounding River” logbook and board game and the books Sacred Commerce and Kindred Spirit. Additionally, the Engelharts are stewards of Laulima Farm, a jewel of tropical permaculture in Maui, and Be Love Farm in Pleasant Valley, California, which produces fruits and vegetables for their restaurants. Matthew is a successful businessman, loving husband and father of five. Terces has expressed herself in many different occupations over the years. Today she is a wife and grandmother and, along with Matthew, is the inspiration for Cafe Gratitude’s commitment to service, the power of community, and shared abundance.
