Richard Aborn

Richard Aborn is President of the Citizens Crime Commission of New York, an independent nonprofit organization working to make criminal justice and public safety more effective through innovation, research, and education. He is also a Managing Partner of the law firm Constantine Cannon and President of Constantine Aborn Advisory Services, which advises police departments, criminal justice agencies and other organizations on high-level strategy and management issues. Among his other accomplishments, in the 1990s Richard was President of Handgun Control Inc. In that role was instrumental in the passage of the Brady Bill and the legislation banning assault weapons and large capacity clips. Neil M. Barofsky is a Senior Research Scholar/Senior Fellow and Adjunct Professor of Law at New York University School of Law. John Carns is the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at the University of Louisville. He is in his 14th year with the Cardinals and is responsible for the development and implementation of the University's policies and procedures in accordance with NCAA, BIG EAST and University regulations. Carns joined the University of Louisville staff in August of `98 after two years assisting in the compliance office at the University of Miami (Fla.). Prior to his roles in athletics, Carns worked in government for the City of Binghamton (N.Y.). Dean Erwin Chemerinsky is the founding dean and distinguished professor of law at the University of California, Irvine. His areas of expertise include constitutional law, civil rights, civil liberties, and appellate litigation.
