Larry Henry

Larry is a lifetime member of the radio and TV broadcast community who has used his wit, charm, and voice to carve out a 20 year career in a top 10 U.S. market and 40 year career overall.
During his career, Larry has provided exciting play-by-play for the University of Michigan basketball and football which included broadcasting three different NCAA Men's Basketball Championship games.
The Detroit Lions asked Larry to be their pre-season television voice for several seasons and the Detroit Pistons used his talents for radio play-by-play also.
Auto racing has always been a passion of Larry's and he had the honor of being a member of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network broadcasting 15 Indy 500s from 1980 thru 1995. He continued his association with racing doing radio and television for Championship Auto Racing Teams. Currently he hosts a custom podcast weekly for Ford Racing entitled "This Week in Ford Racing” along with his own show Pit Pass USA.
On race weekends at Michigan International Speedway, you’ll hear Larry as the track announcer there. He is also announcer at Daytona International Speedway for the July Nascar weekend.
Larry knows many of the drivers and owners in Nascar, IndyCar, NHRA, USAC, ARCA and other series on a first name basis. He was there when Chip Ganassi first stepped into an IndyCar and considers Roger Penske a friend.
He is also a long time member of the American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association and the National Motorsports Press Association.

Pit Pass USA

Pit Pass USA is about all forms of racing. Pit Pass USA prides itself on not just being about Nascar or IndyCar or NHRA, or any one particular series.
Pit Pass USA has conversations, not interviews with drivers, owners, crew chiefs, series officials, crew members and even the media. We want to hear their story, find out what makes them tick, and get their viewpoint on the sport.
One thing that we strive for on Pit Pass USA is bringing the untold story to race fans. That’s why one of our key goals is to talk to those that may not get much media attention but are working just as hard as the stars of the sport to make their dreams come true.
Pit Pass USA is broadcast live every Tuesday at 5 PM Pacific Time on the Power Up Motorposrts Channel.
