Dr.GAH is a Clinical Psychologist, founder and President of Ivyland Counseling Center, and is an adjunct professor of psychology at Rider University. He holds a Masters in Theology as well as a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA, and has been in clinical practice since 1991. He focused much of his training during graduate school in the area of child and adolescent psychopathology. He received his pre-doctoral training at San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health (SBC-DBH) APA accredited internship program in San Bernardino, CA where he primarily worked with chronic and persistent mentally ill populations. Dr. Heinrichs was then hired by SBC-DBH as a staff psychologist where he designed, implemented, and administrated a Day Treatment/Partial Hospitalization Program for frequent users of inpatient services. He was eventually promoted to clinic supervisor of a large county clinic. Dr. Heinrichs was actively involved in training students at the practicum, pre-, and post-doctoral levels, where he held multiple adjunct training faculty appointments from area universities. Dr. Heinrichs has taught at both the undergraduate and graduate levels with his most recent positions at St. Joseph’s and Rider Universities. He has sat on numerous dissertation committees, and conducted research in multiple areas. Originally a California native, Dr. Heinrichs relocated to Bucks County PA in 2003.

We will explore the various areas of psychology and how to apply them to achieve a balanced healthy existence, educate about psychology and mental health issues both micro and macro, give pragmatic suggestions for healthier balance in life, increase awareness of common problem areas, interview experts in their fields to inform of treatment options, and reduce stigma for those individuals who have an Severe and Persistent Mental Illness.
