This book establishes her innovative acting technique, Transformational Acting, the only booked technique that uses current emotions and does not rely on past emotions or sense memory of any kind. She has been teaching this acting technique for the past 30 years at her main location in New York City as well as at our satellite retreat in the mid-Hudson Valley. Her new book, STAR POWER! Sande Shurin has taught and privately coached many notable actors and was seen on OPRAH where clips of her working with the contestants from the television show FAKING IT were featured. She appeared on AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL as a celebrity acting coach and with surprise guest, Taye Diggs, helped transform the model contestants into actresses.
Sande Shurin directed the Broadway show THE PRICE OF GENIUS as well as a number of off and off-off Broadway plays. She also directed the television show, WORKING ACTORS, and her two recent films, TRUE LOVE and MUSEUM SCANDALS.
