Deborah Bockstahler

Deborah Bockstahler describes herself as “just a mom.” A mom who buried her 28 year old son is now a rising voice in the fight for awareness, education and reform. From a small town near Rockford Illinois she beats on every door to have her voice and others heard so people understand that addiction kills and it is in their backyard. Her living room is now full of posters of hundreds of young adults who have died of an overdose. Deborah feels like these children are family as she organizes events and raises awareness through her Facebook page; Drug Awareness, A Mothers Cry.
