A 2011 study in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute determined that the cost of all cancer care in the United States totaled 124.5 billion dollars in 2010. It was projected that by the year 2020, this would rise to a total of 157.7 billion dollars. Unfortunately, when families are dealing with these costs, real life for them does not stop.
