Beverly is a Certified, Aging Life Care professional and an active member of the Aging Life Care Community. She was a member of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council and Chair for a sub-committee symposium entitled, “Managing End of Life Issues.” She is a member of the Woman’s Initiative Committee, the Transition Network, and a member of the National Speaker’s Association. She is currently writing a book about Solo Aging. Beverly presents workshops throughout the Philadelphia area on successful aging, has written numerous articles on the subject, and has been quoted in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Wall Street Journal and New York Times. Beverly holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Antioch University and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Villanova University. Beverly can be contacted at

Debra Malinics has used communications throughout her career to define, strengthen and build her business. She founded DMA Communications, a marketing and communications firm she headed for over 40 years. She has developed a series of workshops designed to strengthen communications in business and personal interactions. Communication Matters builds on the importance of strong communication and using it as an effective tool to build business and increase success.

Debra Malinics

Debra is a natural communicator, infusing her speaking with personal perspectives, humor and insights. She has more than 40 years of experience in marketing and communications as an entrepreneur, business owner, author, speaker and mentor. She has received over 350 creative and business awards including the Gold Medal for Advertising Excellence.

Debra has taught communication, marketing and entrepreneurship throughout her career. As a Business Volunteer for the Arts, Debra worked with arts and cultural organizations to help them build stronger communication messaging and marketplace presence. She has served on multiple boards, working on messaging and marketing strategies and she is a member of the Forum of Executive Women, and is a mentor to young professionals.

Debra has authored numerous articles relating to the importance of communication in success. She was invited to speak at The University of Grenoble, in France on “Differences in Communication Styles and Marketing Techniques in European and American Markets.” She has served on numerous panels and discussion groups on the importance of communications in business and has spoken on this subject on both Executive Radio and Professionals Radio Network.

Debra lives in Philadelphia with her certified therapy dog, Carmen, and together they are active in Tail Waggin Tutors, a program designed to improve reading skills and build confidence in young children in elementary grades.
