Episode Description

The buzz: “Brick and mortar retailers…stuck in what they used to do…isn't much technology being used” (Kenny Yeo, CNBC). Many brick-and-mortar retailers are caught in an application-centric environment where data is created by applications residing on centralized platforms. How can physical store operators escape this data prison to reach a level playing field that closes the gap between online and offline capabilities? The answer: Digital transformation for a distributed network with free-flowing data and tools like IoT, AI, cognitive computing and machine learning to help retailers innovate. The experts speak. Sergei Gorloff, PetroSoft: “It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change” (Prof. Leon C. Megginson). Camilla Dahlen, SAP: “Strength lies in differences, not in similarities.” (Stephen Covey) Join us for Retail Digital Transformation: Freedom of Choice for Stores and Shoppers.
