Jane Addams Physical inactivity crosses all demographics: socioeconomic, ethnicity, and even age. In fact, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) reports that 16% of children and adolescents are overweight or obese. For nearly two decades I have been involved in sports and fitness coaching, training men, women and children. It is my passion, and desire to live a well-balanced life gained through my personal experiences, as well as the educational steps I took to further my knowledge. The tools I have gained have allowed me the success I have achieved as a personal trainer, and a youth coach. Now, I seek to expand upon that knowledge and give back to society on a broader scale. Understanding the connections from engagement in a physical lifestyle drives the desire to continue participation regardless of how old we are.
I hold a Master of Arts in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sports Management as well as a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology. My background and certifications include Functional Movement Screen (FMS), International Youth Coach Association (IYCA), experience as a USAA Weight lifting Club Coach, a personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise, an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and a United States Air Force Veteran.
