Episode Description

In the aftermath of the memorials for the anniversary of 9-11, comes the story of a widow and her personal aftermath of the tragedy of September 11, 2001. Today's guest, Lisa Luckett, became a widow and a single mother of three children on that tragic day. But, instead of crumbling, she has managed to find a silver lining: 'I have learned that almost all scary, sad or traumatic experiences always come with silver linings. In society today, terrorism, tragedy and illness are in the news every day. It seems that death, pain and suffering is everywhere! What you don’t hear about as often is what comes with it: the unsolicited love, support, kindness and the beauty of the human spirit that appear out of nowhere to guide you and help you to heal.' In addition to honoring those who died on 9-11 - victims on the planes and on the ground, as well as first responders - we need to honor those who have found resilience and are spreading messages of healing and hope to others, like Ms. Luckett.
