Halloween often conjures up feelings of fear, so Dr. Connie explores the common fears that impact our lives and how we can overcome them. One of the most common fears is of the future---what to expect? Her special guest in studio is someone who has the gift of “seeing” futures, Annette Bricca, who has read for thousands of people over her 35 years as a psychic. Dr. Connie Mariano
Dr. Connie Mariano’s life is THE American success story. Born in the Philippines and raised as the daughter of a Navy enlisted serviceman, she moved frequently, landing in Southern California where she graduated high school Valedictorian, earning her Bachelor’s degree with honors at the University of California at San Diego. In 1981, she received her M.D. from the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine, board-certified in Internal Medicine. In 1992, she became the first military woman in history to be appointed as White House Physician. She was named Director of the White House Medical Unit and chosen by President William Clinton to serve as his personal physician. Dr. Mariano served nine years, attending to three American Presidents. Completing 24 years of active duty service, Dr. Mariano retired as a Rear Admiral – the first Filipino American in history to do so. In 2001, Dr. Mariano was a consultant in the Executive Health Program at the Mayo Clinic. In 2005, she founded the Center for Executive Medicine, a medical concierge practice which provides presidential-quality medical care to CEOs and their families. An expert in presidential health care including the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, Dr. Mariano is a frequent speaker on the topics of care to VIPs, presidential disability, travel medicine, and optimizing quality of care. She is the author of The White House Doctor: My Patients were Presidents, a Memoir.

Dr. Julie T. Anné is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Eating Disorder Expert and inspirational advocate for the therapeutic healing process. She is the Founder and Clinical Director of A New Beginning, an innovative outpatient treatment center in Scottsdale, Arizona dedicated to the comprehensive care of all eating disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse and relationship issues. Dr. Anné is a respected, nationally recognized eating disorder specialist whose work is frequently featured in the media. Dr. Bernard Bendok
Dr. Bernard R. Bendok is the Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at Mayo Clinic in Arizona and the William J. and Charles H. Mayo Professor of Neurosurgery in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He was recruited from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago where he was a professor and director of the Neurovascular Surgery Program.
Dr. Bendok’s clinical practice is focused on the microsurgical, interventional and radiosurgical management of complex brain tumors and neurovascular diseases. His research is focused on innovations in minimally invasive surgery and precision surgery including augmented reality and image guided techniques. He is an editorial board member of several journals and actively involved in teaching and mentoring.

Michael Bendok is a freshman at Phoenix Country Day School. At Age 12 Michael co- founded Kidz4Causes with three of his classmates. Kidz4Causes is an organization that raises funds for rare childhood diseases. The four boys and their friends have raised over $50,000 by organizing runs, coin drives and dinners, and they raise awareness in Arizona about the importance of funding research for rare childhood diseases. They also partner with other organizations in Arizona to raise money and awareness. The group received an award from Governor Doug Ducey last year.
Michael enjoys speech and debate and has competed both regionally and nationally. Michael is involved with Boy Scouts and is active with other philanthropic and community service organizations in Arizona. In his free time he enjoys playing basketball and watching sports. Georgia Bunn After working in business for 25 years, Georgia decided to make the leap of faith and paycheck to become a sculptor. A third generation Oregonian, Georgia has a personal family history and pride of the west. Her reverence for the American Indians, working cowboys, pioneering women and the outdoors made western and wildlife sculpting a natural. Over the last three years, she installed a 14ft bronze monument of Chief Joseph, leader of the Nez Perce, and several pieces for the Museum of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Sandy has always worked in some form of customer service role. From the airline industry to owning and operating both a restaurant and a nine chair nail salon, she finally planted her feet at Par Exsalonce for the last 23 years! Robert DeProspero As an Assistant Director and Special Agent in Charge of the Presidential Protective Division, United States Secret Service, Robert DeProspero was responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and directing the protection of U.S. Presidents and members of their family. He was assigned to protect former President Eisenhower and Presidents Johnson, Ford, Carter and Reagan while in office. DeProspero earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and a Masters Degree at West Virginia University, and served as a Commissioned Officer in the U.S. Air Force. He holds many awards including two U.S. Treasury awards for Extraordinary Performance, and the state Outstanding West Virginia Italian-American Award. Maureen Francisco When Maureen was only five years old, her family immigrated to the US from the Philippines. At the time, she spoke very little English, which made her the target of teasing at school. When Maureen wanted to pursue further education, she worked three jobs after school and on weekends. It wasn’t easy, but she persevered, and graduated cum laude from Pacific Lutheran University, with a degree in Print/Broadcast Journalism. She was the only graduate in her class offered an on-air position right out of college. Maureen spent the next five years rising in the ranks of the media world as a TV news reporter or weekend anchor at station affiliates around the country, ending up at a station in the top-twelve market of Seattle, WA. Around that time, she became the first contestant on CBS’s Power of Ten with Drew Carey as well as joining the reality show Solitary 3.0 and segued into modeling, acting, and writing. Currently Maureen serves as the co-owner of NW Productions, a media and production company and is busily working on her first screenplay. Maureen lives with her husband in the Pacific Northwest. Marina Giurescu, MD was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania. Following graduation from high school in 1980 with a bachelor in science (dual degree chemistry and biology) she was admitted to the Faculty of Medicine of Bucharest. After four years of studies (out of a six year program) she defected in 1984 and was granted political asylum in the USA. She re-did her medical education at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York between 1988-1992, followed by an internship in pathology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, a residency in radiology at the Yale-New Haven Hospital, and a one year fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. She has been working as a radiologist for the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ since 2000 and is an assistant professor in their College of Medicine. She is a member of several professional medical societies, has given dozens of presentations at medical gatherings in Scottsdale and around the country, and has coauthored a number of peer-reviewed articles for medical journals. Sergeant First Class (SFC) Glenn W. Powell (Retired), is a native of Toledo, Ohio. He enlisted into the United States Army in 1982, and retired in 2002. During his military career, he served as a heavy vehicle driver, a squad leader, and non-commissioned officer.
In September, 1991, SFC Powell joined the George HW Bush White House as a chauffeur, and in 1992 was promoted to transportation coordinator for the white house Press Corps, serving in the Clinton Administration. In December 1995, he assumed the duties of transportation supervisor for Air Force One. In January 2001, during his service under President George W. Bush, SFC Powell was transferred to the White House Military Office, Customer Support and Organizational Development where he served as deputy director until his retirement from the military.
