The General Aviation industry in China is still a relatively green field, with vast market opportunity but a few competitors. This industry started to boom since China announced the 13th Five-Year-Plan, which is a strategic planning by the Chinese government for 2016 - 2020. To seize this huge opportunity, a Chinese company purchased Top Cub’s type certificate and all its relevant intellectual properties, after a lengthy process and lots of patience over 5 years, and finally approved by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. in May, 2015 along with the signature of the Secretary of State of the United States of America. Then it set up the Washington based company Topcub Aircraft LLC (topcubaircraft.com) to serve the international markets, and China based sites to serve the China market. Please join me to hear Mr. Changjia Ge, General Manager of Topcub Aircraft LLC, talks about the general aviation industry in China and their plan in anticipating the surging demand.

She brings over 20 years US-China experience in industry and helps American organizations learn the China market and culture, enter and grow business in China, and vice versa. In addition, Michelle is a business and leadership coach specializing in helping leaders and professionals grow their business and achieve their career goals. She is also a management and marketing consultant and trainer for Microsoft, a board of director at Washington State China Relations Council, and an advisor for several startups. She is passionate about education and have been leading and volunteering in NGOs to make a difference in people’s life through education. She is a public speaker in the U.S. Speaker program and frequently speaks in China. In addition, she publishes a weekly podcast program and authors articles in Chinese introducing America to the Chinese audience.
Michelle has worked in Microsoft, HP, EMC, IDC and in Chinese companies and startups. She has an MBA and Master of Science in Finance degree, as well as a Professional Coaching certification.
