Amy Johnson was a dynamic young woman who suffered from a number of "minor" ailments, and thought of herself as being in relatively "good" health. So it was a total, and devastating shock to be diagnosed in 2013 with clear cell ovarian cancer in her right ovary. When she went for surgery to remove the ovary, it was discovered the cancer was spread to both. She made the harsh decision to have a total hysterectomy, since she had hoped to have children one day. However, despite the warnings of the conventional medical community (including her mother, a nurse), she declined chemotherapy, and instead, in extensive research, found the Gerson Therapy, which resonated with her core beliefs. She and her mother attended the Gerson Therapy clinic in Mexico in October, 2013. Today, Amy is a high energy, healthy, active young woman who acts and looks decades younger than her chronological 48 years, has her own design business, and takes every opportunity to tell others about her journey.

Howard Straus
Mr. Howard Straus, son of Charlotte Gerson and grandson of Dr. Max Gerson, graduated from MIT with a degree in physics. He was a US naval officer during the Viet Nam war and worked for many years as a computer systems analyst. Howard was Editor-in-Chief of the Gerson Healing Newsletter for ten years and authored an award-winning biography of Dr. Gerson called Dr. Max Gerson: Healing the Hopeless, published in 2002.
Howard was the founding Director of the Gerson Healing Center in Sedona, Arizona, that provided the Gerson Therapy directly to visitors from all over the world. Howard also served on the Board of the Gerson Institute for fifteen years and initiated their Worldwide Web presence during the earliest days of the Internet.
Mr. Straus founded Gerson Health Media that publishes the guidebooks for implementing Gerson Therapy and manages the rapidly expanding library of books and booklets being released around the world. Howard appears on radio, television and Internet interviews, and regularly speaks throughout the world.
