Traveling around the world since the age of three months gave me a unique perspective and the ability to appreciate people and life in general. Although I didn’t join the military, I served as a civil servant for almost 37 years. Little did I know that I was preparing for my future. I started coaching over 20 plus years ago with my own children and kept honing my craft. I continue to do so via membership in many federal and civil organizations, partnering with local schools and my volunteer work. As a civil servant, I helped my organization develop a coaching culture and still have a 98 percent success rate helping others advance their career. Post retirement, I followed my passion, launching New Horizen Coaching and Professional Growth Advancement, LLC. My professional goal is to incrementally increase the visibility, understanding and impact of coaching. I am an introvert with a strong, powerful voice that resonates to a person in a way that they can understand. My background enables me to observe, assess and be constructive in my dialogue. Coaching is a rewarding experience and I have received many accolades and recognitions, the most recent being the Small Business Pinnacle Award Semi-Finalist from the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce two years in a row. In addition to a coach, I am also a knowledge and change management professional whose mantra is EACH ONE, REACH ONE. I want to give people back their voice and VoiceAmerica is a forum whose name inspires me to do so.
