Episode Description

Any other hyped words I can throw into the title of this episode?! Much has been discussed in virtually every media outlet on the movement toward digitization, agility, and a host of other phrases being used to both generate excitement and trepidation. What does all of this really mean? And if I can understand it, how do I get there?! History has demonstrated that two actions are required to provide product agility in the manufacturing space. Do these proven approaches apply to businesses, and enterprises? The short answer is yes. This episode will provide an understanding of what is actually required to move from strategic intent to measurable road-mapped actions. While sounding a bit strange, what needs to be realized is that human being cannot understand 1,000 pages of text, or 150 pages of text, or even 20 pages of text. Yet strategy is still being defined in leather bound volumes with hundreds of pages of text. Tune in, as it is the Information Age, it is time to change!

The 2020’s Enterprise is about sorting through the internet-driven advice madness that exists in business today. The great thing about the internet is that anyone can write anything about anything. The problem with the internet is that anyone can write anything about anything! Published practices are quite different than “best practices.” This program will provide practice-based insights in business transformation, organizational transformation and technology transformation, based on real world practices. Business executives, managers, practitioners, and staff are bombarded daily with utopian solutions that more often than not deliver significantly less than promised. This show is “no jargon,” just human communication. Be treated like a “customer” not a “user.” Our philosophy is to provide you with insights that can provide true value to organizations and individuals that face today’s and tomorrow’s competitive pressures, and provide a usable takeaway from each program.
