Episode Description

The buzz: “Data is not like a vitamin that you can just pop in your mouth and be done with it. In fact, data, by itself, is totally useless to your business” (Bill Su). Data analytics is analytics, right? Not quite! Where predictive analytics uses machine learning to predict what will happen, augmented analytics uses machine intelligence to boost human intelligence with the why, so we can work faster and smarter on ever-larger datasets. Is your company positioned to parse the nuance from the noise? The experts speak. Hanno Schoklitsch, Kaiserwetter Energy Asset Management: “We can’t change the wind but we can adjust our sails” (Aristotle). Ran Merkazy, Lloyd’s Register: “The pace of change is so fast – that you will have to learn all your life” (Yuval Noah Harrari). Richard Mooney, SAP: “I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it” (George Bernard Shaw). Join us for Predictive vs Augmented Analytics: Finding the ‘Why’. Episode Key words (Comma Separated)
