Episode Description

Recent studies have shown the vast majority of workers are not engaged at their jobs. A Gallup measuring workplace happiness stated 66% of workers are not happy and 15% truly hate what they do. That is 81% of employees are not engaged. These are frightening numbers, but they just touch the surface. The cost in lost production $550M a year. Add to that the time lost preparing and defending an employee law suit. Plus the loss of good will inside and outside of your company. The loss of trust. The impact on your reputation with customer, suppliers, advertisers, employees and worst of all potential employees. Far too many managers/executives ask the wrong questions which misplaces their focus. They become fixated with constantly changing the process or procedures. This is too often a knee jerk reactions which is similar to a farmer constantly replowing the same field every day. Rather than focusing on changing the techniques again, let start changing the dialogue.

They also can be a fork in the road where we can fall apart or pick up the pieces and start moving forward toward better times and better people. It is never too late to have the life you want and deserve. Let’s talk about it.
