What is the MLS? Whether you are looking to sell or buy a home, you will no doubt encounter the multiple listing service, or MLS. So just what is the MLS? The mission of MLS is simple: protect consumers, agents and brokers by ensuring that everyone who is involved in a real estate transaction has the most accurate, real information about the listing. This is, in many ways, the very lifeblood of the real estate business. But not in NYC. With years of industry infighting, residential firms in NYC were never able to unite to create a consumer database and now that’s coming back to bite them. With Street Easy and others, are we in trouble? We will talk to an expert today about just that. Also at this Hour: The New York City real estate market has faced the biggest drop since 2015 this year, and brokers are feeling the pressure. The 2019 market decrease in NYC is forcing all brokers to ramp up their creativity. How do you do that?
