August 27, 2019
Hosted by Kimberli J. Lewis
Fashion has always been an important part of how people define themselves and others. It's a powerful tool of influence. First impressions are very often formed because of fashion and we are more likely to trust and even obey orders from people dressed in styles which dictate control, such as uniforms or "the power suit. It has to be one of the most influential industries with secure business practices that make us follow trends, follow people, and drive us to confident choices that then define who we are. It is an industry that has taken a functional product, and made into a reflection of style, wealth, desire, and expression. It is an industry that we can learn from. Regardless if it is market segmentation, branding or logistics the fashion industry gives us lessons that we can apply to almost every other industry. This episode explores not only what business lessons we can learn from the fashion industry but we also take a look at the up and coming trends.
