Encore: Entrepreneurial Leadership
September 13, 2019
Hosted by Dr. Matthew Allen Woolsey
What is it that causes great talents to strike out on their own? Is it something they’re born with, is it forged from dreams and aspirations, or torn from the burning embers of setbacks and street scars? When accomplishment is not enough, leading through your true calling is the only answer. This week we share a dialog between two management consultants who have been on the inside, side-by-side and outside the lines of business. Their motivators are similar: doing good work, making a difference and persisting in the effort until others emulate them. Along their journeys, they’ve recognized certain truths: Sometimes it’s not enough to keep saying the same things as everyone else; oftentimes it doesn’t pay to be pure contrarian. The only way to live is ‘living your truth’. Dr. Matt Woolsey, and his colleague, Lorna Donovan, speak candidly about how difficult yet rewarding it is to be the same leader that looks back at you in the mirror...hear their advice to boost your core energy!
