The Rest of the Story
November 1, 2019
Hosted by Rory Goree, Kathy Goree and TJ Beader
In the first half of the November 1st edition of Greyhounds Make Great Pets we welcome Richard Ruelas, reporter for The Arizona Republic for a discussion on "Rediscovering: Don Bolles, a murdered journalist", an upcoming podcast from Arizona Republic/azcentral.com. which launches with two episodes on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Don Bolles was an investigative reporter for The Arizona Republic who was killed by a car bomb in 1976 after years of reporting on corruption in the racing industry. Decades after Bolles's murder, cassette tapes of his related phone calls were discovered and the story of Don Bolles's life and his quarrels with the mafia before his death can now be told. In the second half of GMGP, Steve Sarras, a greyhound owner and breeder joins us to discuss greyhound racing and the current situation in West Virginia.
