It's a safe bet that every upland bird hunter, waterfowler and clay target shooter in the world has questions about quality and capability of the shotgun shells they use. This week Marty welcomes Tom Roster, the foremost shotshell ballistics expert in the world to Wing & Clay Nation radio. For four decades Tom has been the go to expert for ammo manufacturers around the world when it comes to shotshell performance. Marty and Tom will discuss clay target ammo as well as lead and all types of non-toxic shot and loads. Tom will provide the most up to date data available. Roster has been involved in compiling the most extensive testing and terminal ballistics performance data base on both lead and non-toxic ammo. More than 28,000 ducks and geese, 225 turkeys, 1000 pheasants and 1,300 doves have been harvested x-rayed and studied to compile this data. This will be a great show with a huge amount of info for hunters and clay target shooters.

Marty Fischer is one of America’s best-known outdoor celebrities. A graduate of Georgia Southern College, he has been an outdoor television host for almost three decades on shows like Suzuki Great Outdoors on ESPN, Shotgun Journal on the Outdoor Life Network, TNT Outdoor Explosion and “If It Flies…” on the Pursuit Channel. He is a well-known outdoor writer who has authored two books, The Gun Digest Book of Shotgunning and Limbhangers and 4-Letter Words, a book on turkey hunting. In addition to his books, he has written articles for many of the top outdoor magazines on the market. Marty is a NSCA Level III Certified Instructor who has been coaching wing and clay shooters for more than 35 years. He was recently called “the most famous left handed wingshooter in the world” by the popular Shotgun Life website. He is an avid upland bird, waterfowl and turkey hunter who has harvested more than 100,000 gamebirds in 11 countries on four continents around the world and in more than 35 U.S. states. Marty has been a finalist in the World Duck Calling Championship in Stuttgart, Arkansas on four occasions, including a Top 5 finish in that event. He is also a public speaker and President of SportShooting Consultants, Ltd., a gun club design and consulting company that he has owned and managed since 1992.
