Episode Description

Do you want to learn about Aid for the Poor done right -- all around the world? One great example is Heifer International, which is a charity based in Little Rock, Arkansas. Learn from our guest, Mr. Chris Coxon, about how this inspired organization not only provides farm animals like cows, chickens and goats to poor village people all around the world, but how they also teach the locals how to make businesses built around these animals self-sustaining. So they not only teach animal husbandry, but also financial planning and banking. And, after they become established, the recipients are also required to pass some of their animals and skills along to others in their communities to start anew. These Libertarian approaches bring to life the differences between giving someone a fish to eat versus showing that person how to fish. And soon all of the program's officers are nationals from host country. Listen to this interview, and you will be proud of this great charitable organization!
