Episode Description

"Keep knocking and the joy inside will eventually open a window and look out to see who is there." ~ Rumi When you pause for a moment in your day, how do you remind yourself to shift and make this an expected valuable part of your time focus? Do you put post-it notes for yourself in your living and working environments with key words or phrases to remind yourself to act? Do you use images to invite you to pause and take a break? Or, do you completely ignore both open reminder invitations and just keep on doing whatever you are focused on? Aristotle made a discovery over 2000 years ago that thinking always includes imagery. What this message implies is we need to embrace visualization as the empowering strategy in our practicing efforts to be more present. The intentional visual cues we use can help us integrate imagery into our present experiences. Join us as we explore how to use this process with visual cues to retrieve experiences and immediately use in our daily practice. .

dLee

dLee is a passionate photographer, author, talk show host and businesswoman infusing her life with creativity and positivity. She has spent time walking the streets of her community capturing moments of life and nature through her lens. Through this creative process, she naturally began living with more presence and awareness. Growing up, dLee spent time in her father’s garden where she enjoyed the positive beats of this natural environment. She created and produced summer shows using a stage set, records with music and neighborhood kids as the actors in the stories. For these shows, she managed the players and painted the show graphics on large rolls of left over newsprint paper. She learned valuable life lessons working with these creative productions. dLee was encouraged and inspired by her artist mother and several artist neighbors to play with art mediums just for the joyful experience. Today, dLee combines her love for writing and photography, as her lily pad, to create beautiful wall art, gifts and photo books offered at her website, Photodlights.com. Her latest creative project is Integrating Rounds, an inspirational focused photo and word art collection.
