Join host Ryan Treasure and guest Teddy Lanier as they discuss Teddy’s recovery story after his time spent in the Special Forces. Teddy served for a total of 22 years starting in 1989. He was deployed several times in Iraq and Afghanistan. Once he returned, he realized that returning to normal life was going to have its challenges. Teddy ended up turning to drugs and alcohol to help him cope with not only his everyday stresses but the trauma that he did not even realize he was suffering from. After joining the Warrior’s Heart treatment program was able to overcome his 17 yearlong opiate addiction. He now serves as a part of the Warriors Heart Foundation Board of Directors and helps others by sharing his story.
