George Floyd's murder by a Minneapolis cop has set off a firestorm of rage and violence - a lot of it directed at the police, with cries of racism and brutality. Most cops are inspired to follow this calling by having seen a cop come to school to talk about his job, or having been helped by a cop growing up, or following in their family's footsteps. They don't go through years of study and sacrifice, putting their life on the line each day, to express racism. Yet there are a few bad apples....
