Episode Description

In the past few months, we’ve all been through the agony of lockdown amid the COVID-19 pandemic. For Ana Billian, this is not the first time she experienced what we today call “these unprecedented times.” Back in the early 1990s when a civil war in her home country changed everybody’s life forever, lockdown meant sharing a tiny shelter with as many people as could possibly fit in. As Ana says, “There were days when everybody would have appreciated a little bit of social distancing.” In this episode, we discuss how this experience shaped Ana’s professional path, from living and working across the globe to founding her online career platform, Great Career Studios. In Ana’s words, “Life is too short not to follow your dreams. And it’s too short to be a hopeless dreamer.”

Life Altering Events

Archives Available on VoiceAmerica Empowerment Channel

Everyone has those AHA moments or events that change our lives for better or worse. These life altering events occur in every aspect of our professional, personal, and in the lives of our family. Try as we may, it is impossible to completely separate the events in our personal life from our professional life. Believe me, I tried and failed miserably. Life altering events present us with opportunities to seize the moment and make difference in our own life, the lives of our loved one, friends and business associates. They also can be a fork in the road where we can fall apart or pick up the pieces and start moving forward toward better times and better people. It is never too late to have the life you want and deserve. Let’s talk about it.
