Major General/Ambassador (retired) Al Lenhardt describes in his ascent from Harlem to the highest ranks of the military, diplomacy, non-governmental organizations and as Sergeant at Arms of the U.S. Senate during the 9/11 terrorist and October 2001 anthrax terrorist attacks on the U.S. Capitol. He credits his mom, military mentors and trainers for instilling a sense of duty and willingness to overcome obstacles no matter how difficult it is for him.

Chief Alex Morales and Ambassador Harry Thomas

Chief Alex Morales-Hernandez, the CEO and President of CW3RET Enterprise, LLC (dba EEC Solutions) was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico where he lived until he enlisted in the United States Army. He is a 2013 graduate of Central Michigan University with a Master of Science in Administration. Alex enlisted in the United States Army on 18 April 1995 and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer Three after 21 years of military service. He served in the Special Operations Enterprise and lastly in the Defense Attaché System as the Operations Coordinator, Assistant Army Attaché, and Acting Defense Attaché in countries such as Bolivia, Chad, El Salvador, Colombia, Malawi, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. Alex is a recipient of numerous military awards including the 3rd highest award in the Department of State “Award for Heroism”. He speaks English, Spanish, Portuguese and French.

Ambassador Harry K. Thomas Jr. is a Senior Fellow at Yale University’s Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and a Senior Strategic Engagement Leader at Special Operations Command. He served as ambassador to Zimbabwe (2016-2018), the Philippines (2010-2013) and Bangladesh (2003-2005). He retired in March 2018 with the rank of Career Minister after more than three decades in the Foreign Service. Ambassador Thomas also served as Executive Secretary and Special Assistant to Secretary Rice, Director General of the Foreign Service, Director for South Asia at the National Security Council and Director of the Operations Center.

Ambassador Thomas speaks Spanish, Hindi, and Bangla. He is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University. He was the Commencement Speaker at Holy Cross and Loyola University. He is a Trustee of the College of the Holy Cross, the American Academy of Diplomacy, Care for the Homeless and Chairperson of Winter4Kids and is a former Northern Virginia Swimming Official.
