This is the first in an ongoing series called “Covid Lived Unhappily Ever After” - All you ever wanted to know about Covid, variants, vaccines and what’s going on around the world and at home - featuring experts in the field, true stories and people living around the world. Ever wonder why we get sick from a process that is supposed to happen in the body...inflammation. Our goal is to explain the connections between the gut and immune system and subsequent chronic inflammation. After getting a whole host of new food allergies and autoimmune thyroid disease during pregnancy, Dr. Lori searched for medical answers in the “traditional” medical community. Those answers were not found until finding integrative medicine. Integrative medicine flipped the switch and the light bulb went on brighter than ever. Dr. Lori is the perfect doctor to listen to patient symptoms, address the concerns that people complain of daily that “regular” doctors fail to treat effectively. Dr. Lori Gerber
Dr. Lori Gerber, formerly Dr. Lori Lewis, is a board-certified Family Physician with an Emphasis in Dermatology. She also obtained a Fellowship degree in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine in 2011. Dr. Gerber was born and raised in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Following high school, she went to the University of Delaware as an Art major. As art blended with her passion for science, she ultimately obtained her degree in Biology and simultaneously found a love of language, leading her to a Spanish minor. Thus, Dr. Gerber is bilingual in Spanish and English to better cater to her clientele. Upon completion of undergraduate school, Dr. Gerber went to Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her medical degree in 2006. Dr. Gerber trained extensively in the art of aesthetics with both invasive and non-invasive procedures. Her accreditations include: member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Family Physicians, A4M, Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and The Botox Cosmetic Physician’s Network. In 2010, Dr. Gerber created her own vision, “Refresh Wellness, Weight Loss and Cosmetics” now “Refresh Integrative Medicine and Aesthetics” to give her patients the most comprehensive rejuvenation program possible. Dr. Lori wanted to reach more people across the country and has taken her anti-aging and integrative medicine on the road via door-to-door events and virtual integrative medicine with her company, Dr. Lori LLC.
