Kathryn interviews Author, Journalist, Producer Miguel Sancho.There are approximately one in 2,000 children around the globe suffering from 400 types of Primary Immunodeficiency (PI), many of whom vaccinations aren’t available due to age or compromised immune systems. For the parents of a child with PI, normal days can be filled with anxiety and fear, but amid a global pandemic, the quest for answers on how to keep your child safe is daunting. Miguel Sancho shares his family’s incredible story as they search for a cure for their son’s deadly immune deficiency and provide support for parents working through the same challenges with their children. With a constant risk of deadly infection, Miguel and his family spent six years in some degree of self-quarantine, with all its attendant anxieties and stressors, as they struggled to keep their son alive, their marriage intact, and themselves sane. He is an Emmy-winning journalist and television producer whose work can be seen on 20/20 and throughout the A+E networks including The History Channel..Kathryn also interviews Author, Philanthropist Florence Ann Romano. Census figures show there are over 11 million single-parent families in the United States, the majority of which are headed by single moms. However, those statistics don’t show how many of those women chose to start a family on their own. While the U.S. teen birth rate is falling, the birth rate for women aged 35 and older is rising and more adult women are becoming single moms by choice through the process of in vitro fertilization rather than waiting for the right partner to start their families. Childcare and Village Advocate Florence Ann Romano, who has begun her own IVF journey to motherhood, shares with us her mindset, insights, experiences, and hopes. Kathryn's interviewed thousands of guests including lifestyle experts, celebrities, authors, lawyers, psychiatrists, physicians and dieticians. At Albany Medical College she has trained doctors and medical students to communicate effectively with their patients. She's an actor who can be seen on the Sopranos and Law and Order and even admits to modeling for AARP! She has Masters' Degrees in Social Work and Counseling Psychology and is a graduate of the New School of Radio and Television. Much background for her show comes from traveling the world and raising three boys now in their twenties - a rock star, an actor and a film maker. There's also one ex-husband, one boyfriend, two brothers and an aging mom!
