Jordan is best known for developing The MAGNET® Stock Selection Process, a proprietary stock selection model that was one of the first to blend elements of value, growth and momentum. He has published two books on the subject, most recently The Magnet Method of Investing (Wiley, 2009). His first book, Magnet® Investing, introduced the Magnet model that was licensed and used by prominent institutions.

Mr. Kimmel was formally the President of The Magnet Investment Group, LLC. The firm operated independently for over twelve years, managing proprietary funds and serving as a sub-advisor to other prominent investment firms. During that time, the MAGNET® Stock Selection Process was licensed to John Nuveen and Company who issued Unit Investment Trusts, branded “GEMS”, applying the Magnet process to several different indices. Mr. Kimmel has recently helped develop a second proprietary strategy called FACTS™ that analyzes companies, both quantitatively and qualitatively, in five key areas of trustworthy behavior.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Kimmel was a First Vice President at Dean Witter and an account executive at Paine Webber and A.G. Edwards. A graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Mr. Kimmel holds a BA in Economics and an MS in Urban Policy Sciences. He is also a graduate of The Bronx High School of Science.

Mr. Kimmel appeared regularly on CNBC and Fox Business News, and now hosts his own weekly radio show, “Magnet Investing with Jordan Kimmel,” on the VoiceAmerica Business Network. Mr. Kimmel is quoted frequently in national newspapers including The Wall Street Journal and USA Today, and has been featured in Forbes Magazine. He is a widely sought after speaker at financial and investment conferences.

Robert Zevin

Robert has been a leader in socially responsible investing since 1967. At the same time he also pioneered the use of modern portfolio theory to protect his clients against the losses that are often the result of conventional investment approaches. He started what is now Walden Asset Management in 1975, making it the first socially responsible unit in any bank. He was also a principal architect of the first Calvert Social Investment Fund in 1982. Robert was a leader in the movement to divest from apartheid South Africa. His 1987 testimony in defense of the Baltimore pension funds’ right to divest led to a precedent-setting decision. Robert is also a Harvard Ph.D. in economics, who has taught at Berkeley, Columbia and Harvard and published two books. For almost a dozen years he has been leading and building Robert Brooke Zevin Associates, a socially responsible investment firm as notable for its investment performance as for its social commitments.
