At least 25% of the US population are women over 40. Midlife women are now taking charge of their health and talking about the midlife changes and stressors that were once largely ignored. Midlife is a period that can be filled with numerous challenges including the menopausal (aka peri-menopause) transition, which is often accompanied by symptoms including hot flashes, insomnia, and mood swings. Your risk for breast cancer also increases at midlife. About 80% of women diagnosed with breast cancer each year are 45 or older. The good news is that there are many things that midlife women can do to balance their hormones, improve their health, reduce their cancer risk, and feel fantastic. In this week’s show we’re going to share natural, anti-aging remedies and approaches to boost your energy and wellbeing including nutrition therapy, Chinese medicine, and meditation. Plus, I’ll also be discussing what to do when life throws you an unwelcome curve ball or test that you weren’t expecting.
