Making the JUMP from Corporate America to Entrepreneurship
June 20, 2022
Hosted by Lisa Chastain
Making any move financial or otherwise takes courage. My guest today is Kri Edholm, and she is no stranger to taking risks. She has many years of experience participating in hundreds of search and rescue training sessions and missions in Southern Nevada and her courageous spirit serves her well in business today. Kri had a spark in her heart in 2016. She took one of the biggest risks of her life by leaving her career in Corporate America to follow her passion in leadership development. She founded the Spark Womens Retreat as well as opened her own Leadership Excursion Company to teach and train leadership through the outdoors. She is also the host and creator of the "Leadership Looks Like" Podcast. When COVID-19 hit, event companies worldwide shut down and Las Vegas was hit the hardest in the country. Kri found herself having to make a huge pivot, and today, she is the owner of KRICO Productions, a creative agency that provides marketing, video production, and website design services for women-owned and LGBTQIA+ businesses. Leaving Corporate America is scary, starting a business is even scarier, and Kri's story today will inspire you to keep going, take risks, and be flexible with your life vision. Listen in to learn how Kri navigated her own twists and turns of business ownership, supporting aging parents, and how she reinvented herself in business twice over the course of 5 years. You're going to love this conversation. Join us!
Real Money with Lisa Chastain

Not enough women are talking about money. The truth is, so many women feel shame and guilt about the choices they are making financially, and it isn't their fault! Men earn 90% of the wealth in the world. Although women are the majority spenders at 85%, we are left to figure out for ourselves how to manage our money following male dominated advice. Every woman is capable of feeling confident about the choices she is making about her money. The problem is that for so many women, money isn't relatable. Experts are talking over your head, and this show is the perfect place for you to improve your confidence and relationship with money. My goal is for women to lead in all areas of their life with clarity that they are making the right choices for their families, their careers, and their futures. With Real Money, we are going to share real stories of women who are tackling their most difficult financial challenges.
