Life Guide

On Demand Episodes on VoiceAmerica Empowerment Channel

LIFE GUIDE is a new Podcast series on VoiceAmerica’s Empowerment Channel hosted by Mark S. Bardi. As your Host the purpose of Life Guide is to recruit guests, mostly family and friends across generations, to share with our audience one of their most relevant life guiding principles. Consider this…everyone, and I mean everyone, has a history rich in personal experiences, observations, and lessons learned. Those lessons, both good and bad, become their life guiding principles that they regularly apply in order to live more satisfying lives. By satisfied, I do not mean happy and joyful everyday but rather “content and steady lives” in both good and challenging times. Over time, whether consciously or subconsciously, we end up creating our own personal Life Guide…similar to a journal. And those guiding principles, shared freely and honestly by my guests within this forum, may contribute to a more satisfying life for all who listen and learn. No guarantees of course, but who is not up for the possibility of living a more satisfying life just by listening and learning from people like you and me. Throughout this Podcast series, life guiding principles will be shared and captured on my VoiceAmerica Host Page for all to hear, maybe apply, and possibly share with others. At least that's the idea behind Life Guide. So, if you are curious, then tune into LIFE GUIDE on VoiceAmerica’s Empowerment Channel. Now onto the show.

Now for some background on me. I was born in 1955 and raised in Levittown, PA, as the first born of two loving parents, Pasco & Marie Bardi. I grew up with two sisters and a brother in a modest and peaceful home with wonderful neighbors, extended family nearby, good healthcare, and a quality education system. Although both parents worked two jobs, at times it seemed we lived from paycheck to paycheck but we had everything we needed and on special occasions could get something we really wanted. I dedicated my entire childhood and teen years to my first passion… America’s pastime…Baseball, where I learned a lot about life in general, teamwork, thinking ahead, hustle, and individual performance. Academically I was a solid “C” student in High School but was fortunate enough to start my college years at a County Community College later graduating from a Pennsylvania state school with both an undergraduate and graduate degree shocking everyone in my network. Needless to say, while my early dream was to be a major league baseball player, reality eventually set in and I shifted my energy to Academics, a Business Career, a loving Wife of 31 years, two adventurous millennial Sons, and Community. My qualifications to date include 66 years of real life as a: Son, Brother, Grandson, Nephew, Cousin, Friend, Neighbor, Uncle, Business Professional, Husband, Father, Widower as of 2014, Retiree, and of late a Baby Boomer Boyfriend to a wonderful lady. My personal life guiding principles have allowed me to live a satisfying life despite the trials and tribulations that we all have in common. So, if you are curious, then tune into LIFE GUIDE on VoiceAmerica’s Empowerment Channel. Now onto the show.
