Episode Description

Ida welcomes her Guest Co-Host – Former San Diego Charger and Executive Director of the “Goals For Life” Program, Reggie Berry, and Special Guests: Dr. Teresa Behrend Fletcher, Co-Author of “A Systems Approach to understanding and Counseling College Student Athletes.” Managing academic, athletics and personal development goals are not easy. The panel will talk about the stressors in a Student Athletes Life and how they can find ways to cope better. Student Athletes lives are heavily scheduled and regimented from the morning to the night. Student athletes often have to deal with more stress than the average student, because of the significant role sports plays in their daily lives. Unfortunately the need for traditional counseling is generally great, but may not be available for athletes through traditional means on most campuses.
