Ida welcomes her Guest Co-Host – Henry Lawrence 3-time Super Bowl Veteran and three Special Guests: Michael V. Kaplan, Esq., President of Brain injury Litigation Group Association of Trail Lawyers of America. Michael is leading national advocate for the rights of the brain injured and a nationally recognized expert on Brain injury as it relates to NFL players. Another guest is Bernie Parrish, former Florida Gator Football Player and one of the men in the 1960’s that strengthened the NFL Players Association with dreams of making it the most powerful union in sports. Bernie is at the forefront of the fight for a better Pension for Retirees. In addition, Mel Owens, former 49er and workmen compensation attorney will join us to discuss the present state of affairs of NFL retirees. Each guest will share their view on the NFL Disability and Pension system, and offer suggestions to revamp it to meet both the active player’s future needs, and the retired players’ present needs.
