TRAVELING IN TIMES OF TERRORISM
May 8, 2008
Hosted by Cindy Rakowitz
Everyone loves to plan vacations—but the rules of traveling have changed dramatically today. Dr. Michael Zimring, Director of the Center for Wilderness and Travel Medicine at Mercy Medical Center, and author of the book Healthy Travel discusses the issues facing today’s modern traveler. Dr. Zimring will cover DVT, being pregnant in a foreign country, insurance issues and terrorism. Michael Kosdon, Los Angeles based cosmetic dentist to the stars will join the second half hour to discuss the dangers of “medical tourism”. Although the pricing of cosmetic surgery can be appealing in places like southeast Asia and South America—the results can be crippling, disfiguring and deadly.
